FEBRUARY IS FOR FOODIES RETURNS FOR ITS SEVENTH YEAR IN 2019, WITH NEW PARTNERSHIPS AND AN EXPANDED PROGRAM LINEUP
Family nights and prix-fixe menus at Walla Walla’s top restaurants ensure that February is for Foodies will be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike

(WALLA WALLA, Wash.) — February is for Foodies in Walla Walla, and this year might be just a bit tastier. Held throughout the month, “February is for Foodies” has long been a unique, annual food celebration that features the best of Walla Walla’s culinary scene.

F4F, as it has become known, is set for its seventh year and will once again feature foodie-friendly events meant to show off the best of Walla Walla’s innovative culinary scene. This year restaurants throughout Walla Walla will feature special three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for $33, and offer two-course prix fixe lunch menus, Sunday through Thursday, for just $22. In addition, every Wednesday night in February will be “family night,” with custom offerings at local restaurants designed for three or more and priced per adult and per child.

The calendar will also be filled with events showcasing Walla Walla’s celebrated chefs and special food, wine, and chocolate pairings, as well as special lodging discounts at some of Walla Walla’s most notable hotels.

A new collaboration between Visit Walla Walla and the Walla Walla Union Bulletin has helped spice up F4F. The strategic partnership ensures that the event will be as welcoming to locals as it is to visitors.

“February is for Foodies was conceived as a way to showcase Walla Walla’s incredible bounty of food and wine, and to do so to drive visitation at an otherwise slow time of year for tourism,” said Ron Williams, CEO of Visit Walla Walla. “But it is also a chance for locals to experience our town’s culinary prowess, and this partnership will help us achieve that goal like never before, and ensure that F4F remains an enticing signature event for visitors and locals alike.”

“We are excited to help showcase the amazing restaurants and food in the Walla Walla Valley,” said Brian Hunt, publisher of the Union Bulletin. “Together with Visit Walla Walla, and all the participating local partners, we’re hopeful that February for Foodies gives both locals and visitors expanded opportunities to enjoy our wonderful, local food.”

Organizers are still working with local businesses, restaurants, wineries, lodging properties, and other stakeholders to both host and sponsor events. The full schedule of events will be announced later this month.
