Fort Walla Walla Museum is a must-see for visitors to Walla Walla, the cradle of Northwest history. Visitors arrive at the museum’s expansive Entrance Building, which features several exhibit galleries devoted to Indian cultural artifacts, military fort history, period garments and a rotating special exhibit. Four large exhibit halls contain artifacts relating to horse-era agriculture, transportation, the Washington Territorial Prison and more. Then venture outside to stroll through a furnished pioneer village. The museum also hosts activities and events all year long, including 40 living history performances. Before you leave, stock up on unique gifts and local goodies at the Museum Store.
